Completed 2009

This new BMW and Mini showroom has been designed to take advantage of the prominent site on which it is located; on the corner of a new roundabout and road on the outskirts of Limerick City.

The corporate identity requirements of BMW have dictated the size of the showroom, which is laid out like a street, and the size of the service area. The palette of colours used has also been dictated by the requirements of BMW. The primary materials used are similar to those of a car; glass and steel.

This exposed steel frame building consists of a showroom with a curved frameless glass façade, incorporating a steel bris soleil. Sales and Administrative offices have frameless glass partitions and are located on the mezzanine floor of the showroom. The service area, which is to the rear, is top lit by two glazed triangular trusses. The modular steel framed structure has been set out to allow for the future expansion of the showroom and workshop

.

The site, which is approximately two acres, has been divided into various functional areas with maturing landscape interspersed. This showroom is highly visible on approach from the road and roundabout.

We provide full architectural, civil engineering and project supervisor design stage (health and safety) services on this project.
